The noble game of billiards throughout its long history has been a popular leisure activity for royalty and intellectuals. To them, the table became a battleground to demonstrate their intellectual prowess. The game underwent many transformations and took a form that we now know as “pool”. Even though the game has put on a new mask, the intellectual prowess and comprehensive mindset to become a good player remain an essential requirement.

These are only some of the qualities that are associated with the upcoming pool genius Zahidul Islam. Better known on the internet by his pseudonym RJ TRICKSHOT, RJ Trickshot has demonstrated his mettle by playing and winning alongside some of the world’s best-known pool players.

RJ started playing a plethora of sports at the age of 12, he had been playing street soccer and cricket alongside pool. Despite being good in the former, he did not want to restrict himself to street sports. That is when he started playing pool more often, waiting for an opportunity to showcase his immense talent. At a very young age, he understood that carefully fostering his passion and understanding for the game could help him build a worthwhile career out of it. Over time, he continued building his understanding of the game and became interested in trick shots, too. His skill in the arena took him to the way of gambling, as he soon began playing for cash.

According to RJ trickshot, this was not a worthwhile achievement and he set his eyes on the stars above. He left playing for money and decided to participate in competitions. He played in a 9×9 Ball championship on a public level and soon after was contacted by sports illustrators and sponsors that recognized his talent. Ever since, RJ got an opportunity to play in various pool titles, including 3 x Trickshot Championships, ten x10 Ball Champion, and was announced the victor of a 4 x Double Match Winner and eight x8 Ball Pool Winner, He has set his eyes on even bigger targets and intends to play in the World Pool Association and Mosconi Cup.

Zahidul Islam a.k.a rj trickshot idolizes the legendary Efren Bata Reyes and wanted to walk in the footsteps of his idol. His talent caught the eye of Florian Kohler, a world-renowned trickshot artist. Given RJ’s expertise in the game and his burning passion to become the greatest, Kohler decided to invest his time and insight to transform RJ’s game. Together, they’ve spent many evenings performing trickshots and challenging each other, helping each other become better players.

RJ has always been interested in trickshots, his rise to fame brought attention to the undiscovered talent that he has. He has been posting complex trickshots on Instagram and Tiktok for pool fans to enjoy. His first viral video on Tiktok is him performing the open gate masse shot, which raked in not only massive views but also helped him build his fan base. Alongside posting his trickshots on TikTok and Instagram, RJ also posts tutorials and provides tips to aspiring trickshot artists that look up to him. He pays his homage to Florian Kohler and often goes live with him on Instagram.

According to RJ trickshot, he still has a lot more left to achieve and a lot more of his talent left to showcase. He intends to establish the Guinness world record for the longest duration to spin a billiard ball. For a man of his intellect and skill the only way is up.
